Galatians

The shattering conflict between the Law and the Gospel is he great theme of Paul's letter to the Christians in Galatia. At stake was the very basis of our salvation: is it something we must earn or merit, or is it the gift of God's grace? The subtle temptation to add requirements to what God has offered freely in Christ was already pervavsive in the first century. How much more so today?
